So I’m brainstorming a little here. I don’t know if any of this would work out in reality. But consider…

Weapon: Zealous Dagger of Enchant

Mystic Sweep: Eremite’s Attack: Twin Moon: Heart of Fury: Mystic Vigor: Mystic Regen: something else

So you have Mystic Regen up already. Or maybe just something easy like Faithful Intervention. You activate Mystic Vigor, close in on target, and then activate Heart of Fury. To simplify this, just look at the first 10 seconds.

At dagger mastery 12, you have a 24% chance to double-strike. So in 10 seconds you can average hit 12 times. Then with Mystic Sweep + Eremite, you hit another 4 times…in addition to your other attacks. Say the Heart of Fury is ending near this point. Twin Moon Sweep… you get another attack. From these +5 attacks, its safe at assume another dagger double. That would be…hypothetically mind you… about 18 attacks in 10 seconds. Not counting regen from Mystic Regen, your Mystic Vigor would net you about +320 hitpoints…more if you had 4 enchants on you. You spend 25 energy on your attacks. But you get 18 back from Zealous mod, + 4 back from mysticism at the end of Fury.

And this can be repeated almost constantly...every 15 seconds or so.

OK. Here is something along the same lines…only better.

Zealous Sword of Enchant., Low req shield.with some good mods.

Sun and Moon. Mystic Sweep: Eremite Attack. The rest as above.
Your regular attacks (speeded up 33% by Heart of Fury) + 4 attacks from MS + EA = 14 hits. Most probably enough to power two Sun and Moon strikes, which brings it to 16 hits in ten seconds.

Lets go silly now.

Hundred Blades [e]. Mystic Sweep. Eremite Attack. Sun and Moon. Twin Moon. Mystic Vigor. Heart of Fury. Mystic Regen.,

Do the enchants as above. Attack with Hundred Blades (single target) – 5e, +1 extra hit. You hit 4 times with MS+EA (20e, 4 hits) within 10 seconds. You get enough adrenaline to hit Sun and Moon twice (+2 extra hits). You end with Twin Moon (+1 hit). You spend 30 energy. You make 18 sword hits. Zealous + Mysticism brings back 24. You get +320 health.

Mystic Sweep, Eremite’s Attack, Twin Moon require a scythe, hence the "scythe mastery".

[edit] - noted the "melee attack" designation. I see no one seems to have tried it - will tonight.

I have also tested it and yes it works, but with no Scythe Mastery points the damage is kinda low. Of course with enough enemies and enchantments it should be a fine build.

Question. Why go D/W, D/A?

Go A/D or W/D, unless you really really need that extra 2 e regen. Replace HoF with Burst of Agg for the W/D variant. :S?

^^^ Because, yes...you would need the regen and mysticism to spam the enchants that would make these uber-healing builds...assuming it works. Mystic Vigor is mystisism.

W/D has some good utility potential though with Reap Impurities (also a melee attack).

Besides the critical Scythe pre-build, which I think is sort of a dumb idea, not sure why go A/D though. oh... Reap impurities probably works even better with an A/D as they have hex spells.

I guess my above builds are really farming and RA builds. I was just trying to think out of the box a little.

The only reason you'd want to use those skills is if you want an extra swing like you would if you were using protector's strike as a warrior. I can work nicely as it charges adrenaline at the same time, so I'd prefer using it on a D/W (you won't have enough energy on a W/D to spam it enough).

The problem is with using the skill slots on these attacks is that you are sacrificing another potentially useful skill such as a snare to prevent an enemy running away (talking pvp here)

^^^ of course. I'm trying to suggest non-scythe melee builds here. These two do not have deep wounds or cripple. I think someone should start another threat on good non-scythe builds (AOE builds and group healing builds) for example. We need to build up the Derv database and round it out with some of the wierder builds too.
